Well done for your 3.6 miles Steve. I'm afraid that I don't take much notice of the HR reading on Garmin Connect. I've found that hr readings after a tough session can be quite low, whereas after an easy pace run can be much higher. I'm not the only one that finds this.

Well done FF for your long, windy run.

This morning was a solo 4.49 miles recovery run in the forest. The wind was very strong here too. It always seems to be a headwind on the way back.

I can’t go by me HR at all as it’s very erratic.
Mine has always recorded very high. However two recent ECG’s have said I have bradycardia. Mine usually hits 190 during a parkrun but a recent fastest PR was 150.

LL, I believe bradycardia is a heartbeat below 60 bpm. My average resting hr is 53.
190 does seem very suspicious for your parkrun. Your recent fastest PR of 150 sounds about right. It is also relevant to age though, and whether male or female.

I'll be 77 next month, but yesterday's average hr for 5 x 200 metres was 136, max 148.

A rest day today, but a very heavy Farmers Walk; I just about made it home without stopping.

I base the relevance of my HR on comparisons over the last fifteen or more years. I used the principles of zones (1-4 used ) from a heart rate training manual and equated it to pace. Everything was going broadly as it should giving the passing years; my maximum HR ,now 162 however has dropped from 171-2 beats over the last fifteen/sixteen years which means the recommended (safe) HR in each zone is of course lower now. My resting HR has never been very low and been stable at 58/60 BPM . I currently stay mainly in zone 1 which is easy aerobic (118-129 BPM for me) ...or should be. I get to zone 2 too quickly (129-140) which is why I await a CT scan!
My heart wouldn't safely deal with 190 BPM, I'd have collapsed way before that. There's no doubt that a decent chest strap used consistently has ensured my safety.

Well carried hs! Spuds, tins etc..phew!
4.5 on trails this morning, perfect out there today with not a hint of winter.

What a lovely day it is in Lowestoft. Blue skies and sunshine hardly a breeze. I ran just over 10 miles this morning before doing parkrun. Neither of these runs seem to be recorded on my Garmin for some reason 😡😡 I do however have lots of recordings for the 30th October that I have not done 😡😡 Very frustrating and annoying.

Thanks Steve, bananas, large jar of coffee, a couple of bottles of beer and a bottle of wine, added to the weight 😂.
Well done for your 4.5 miles on trails.

Very good running FF! Strange that some of your runs haven't been recording on your Garmin.

A good solo interval session in the forest this morning. 5 x 1k with 2.5 minutes walk recoveries. The 5th was the quickest, 5.37 k pace, and into a headwind, so very pleased with that. Average hr 132, max 158,

Very good intervals hillstrider. You regularly do a faster last rep on your intervals, well done.

Thanks FF! I always aim to make the last effort the quickest. I think this is because I aim to finish races as fast as possible.
