Well done Steve for sticking to your guns!

LL, I ran the Southampton Half Marathon 7 times from 1985, on a different route from the current one. It wasn't held again until 2016, which was the first on the new one, and in 2017, they included the Full Marathon. I ran the half in 2016, and the full in 2017. I think they have tweaked the courses a bit since, but still include Itchen Bridge.
Unfortunately, I have no plans to run the Southampton Half or Full again, so you won't be seeing me.

Ran 4.23 miles in the forest with the Wednesday Gang, which included 5 minute hill reps on each of 3 hills.

As I’m shivering like a shivery thing post cv booster I have finally blogged about the weekend. Pull up a chair if you’re heading in!

I’ve not ran since Monday planned a run in morning but I’m sacking it off. My legs will probably appreciate it too as they’ve just started working again 🤣

GG, rest days are always beneficial.

I'm having a rest day today, as yesterday's hill reps gave my legs a battering.

It’s hard to miss runs but I’m learning rest when you’re not well or had an especially hard session is beneficial.

I’m feeling better than last night but achy, headachy & shattered. I may not run at all this week as my weekend is chockablock meeting a friend Friday in London Town and locking boat up Saturday. I may sleep in the car tonight.

Five minute hill reps on hills after your great run on Sunday?! What's going on?!! I would've thought a recovery few days of easier running would have been the plan.

Oh dear, not nice gg. Luck of the draw I suppose, hope the ugh feeling passes quickly.
5k on the trail and in the rain was surprisingly pleasant...'ang on, that's taking it too far😂...it was quite good and my best outing for months. Cold on the hands though, 8c with rain is brr.
Weights yesterday were tolerable! No run planned for tomorrow.

Steve, I had 2 rest days before yesterday's session, and will have today and tomorrow as rest days. Saturday will be an easy run and not a parkrun. Glad that you found this mornings 5k trail run to be your best for months.

GG, Sorry to hear that you are experiencing after effects from your jabs. I hope you soon feel better. Most people I know, me included haven't felt 100% for a while afterwards.

6 at 6 this morning for me, was cold and not much debris on the paths after the wild weather we had yesterday.

Do love hill reps HS, well done. Hope your knee is ok.

Take it easy GG, better to rest than not and give the jab time to do it's thing.

Glad you enjoyed your run Steve.

Well done Lesley for your 6 miles in the cold 🥶 It can't be as cold here, as I'm still running in tshirt and shorts.
Thanks, knee is ok, and I'll be resting it tomorrow again.
