GG, I'm about 50 miles west of you, north of Neath, and near the edge of the Brecon Beacons national park. I hope you enjoy your stay in Wales, albeit work-related.

5k in the heat this morning, ran the local parkrun route. Had no niggles, first time I have felt nothing in ages. Hopefully many more runs like that, though cooler I hope.

Well done everyone getting out in this weather šŸ„µ.

HS ..I have strted going to a boot camp type thing on mondays and wednesdays in a local park..a really nice bunch ...where the farmers walk was used as a fill in to other exercise staions so to speak...so no I definately didnt walk as far as your good self!

Heading out for a run in a bit ...very humid here ..stormlike

Glad to hear that you are now niggle free Lesley šŸ˜ƒ

Turkhish, several of our club runners go to boot camps. When I was with a previous club, circuit training was a regular part of our training sessions.

Seems to help HS ..especially with the fact my job involves a lot of sitting around and I suffer from a few hamstring problems.

I think that was the most humid run I have ever done....sod living in Miami..3 miles of wading through treacle.

And why travelling with work was not missedā€¦ had to drop dog of for groomers before getting in office early this morning, left at lunchtime to drive to Wales, arrived just before 7. Nowhere safe to run at hotel (well there is a gym & hotel grounds but I donā€™t think grounds will give me a decent run and treadmill wonā€™t be that tempting) meeting at 7.15 for breakfast, if I can I will drag myself out as I know weā€™ll be late back and weā€™re having a team dinner. Need to do something if only to wear the dragon skort in Wales.

Glad that your niggle seems to have subsided at last Lesley.
Not doing quite as well after rest days is why I'm reluctant to have them too LL...but I guess that it's better for the body in the overall scheme of things. Maybe taking two (!) rest days is better!!
Never done circuits, boot camps but great if it adds to one's fitness and ability. I don't think I'll start now šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜‚.
Early morning 18c is ideal right now but I'm sure it won't last for long and it'll be a few degrees cooler soon enough. Wouldn't want to run in 35c . Nice enough run even though on roads this morning with plenty of people running between 6 and 7 am.

Well done Steve I opted for 2 wheels and itā€™s quite pleasant on the bike with the breeze.

My ā€œraceā€ has moved the start from 10 to 9 so that should help although I wonā€™t be racing it if I do it. Good news on the niggles Lesley. Hope the little man enjoyed his recent birthday.
