Sounds a good idea LL, cycling to enjoy the breeze. Hope starting your race an hour earlier helps with the temperature.

Very humid this morning and probably not a good idea for a tough session. However, we are a tough lot "down south" and I ran 5 x 800 metres with 90 seconds recoveries on the forest track with a running friend.

Good news Lesley and good luck LL

Enjoying my time in Wales did 2.5 this morning & 2.7 tonight. It’s been unbearable in parts of the office (archive rooms) today so glad to get some fresh air.

That 10k is doable LL! You'll be finished before the serious heat. Good luck in advance.
Tough sessions?!😂 All my runs have been tough for months and they shouldn't be... that's the current state of my fitness. Arghhh🤪!
800s are quite brutal hs. Do they fit into a plan?
Four and a half again this morning on roads. I'm doing more roads lately, much against my preference but with my cardiac concerns I'd rather be near places where I can get assistance if anything goes amiss. A silly place to be running wise, but that's the way it is.

Those 800 metres reps are not technically part of a plan Steve, but just one of several different sessions that I have programmed into my Garmin. We tend to alternate hill reps, with interval sessions, week by week. We will be starting a training schedule on Monday for the New Forest Half Marathon in September.

I ran a solo hilly road 10k this morning. It was still very hot and humid 😅🌞

You are probably wise Steve running on roads, rather than solo on trails, just to be on the safe side. I was lucky when running solo in the forest and had that bad fall, that I was able to get up and limp home. I could have laid there for hours before being discovered.
