Heavy rain overnight and still very windy this morning so I planned to collect my Fetchpoint bug in town then run to Wigton with a tail wind and get eL Bee! to pick me up. "That road doesn't flood," I said. Not far up the Brayton Road (just past 2 miles) I came upon some deep flooding and decided to turn round rather than getting wet feet so early in the run and try to doodle up the distance doing out and backs. Surprisingly, the Hayton Road was almost dry and I was able to go round the small triangle rather than turning back. The wind was tiresome but at the moment I'm a bit "pfft, wind" about it rather than letting it get to me. I had a lovely tail wind coming back into town.
Happy with that.
