Boingy Really struggled on this one. Legs still battered from yesterday. Went over on right ankle again after 2 miles, very sore, so throttled back. Found it really tough having people pouring past me, and didn't really enjoy it to be honest. Beautiful course though. :-)

C-Cat OK 2nd trail run - in 2 days *boing* :) would the shagged ankles hold up? what the heck would me legs make of 2 days back2back running???

...started with a surprising amount of spring in the step... then got a touch carried away.... ooopppps slip... trip.... crack of shin on rock *ouch* (might have uttered something a bit stronger!) hopped a bit... hobbled a little... gritted teeth and carried on!!! Had to be done :) (same as standing in Ullswater up to me knees at the end to dull the pain hehehe) oh and did i mention the views...

Fro sore legs after helvellyn the day before (and a lack of sleep due to baltic temperatures in caravan). Event was incredible, views stopped me in my tracks a couple of times. Absolutely awesome

Lisrun This was a much rougher course than I remembered and because of my ankle I took it very gently. Still managed to twist both ankles slightly, but I don't think there was any lasting damage

LorraineS had hoped to use this more of a long run, but it was a bit hilly and rocky for me and was disappointed that I had to walk so much because getting clear footing was difficult. Garmin said 13K.

Stepford Wife Legs not impressed with this trying to run two days in a row lark. Struggled to find a rhythm for ages. Chatted to a lovely lass about running and our running dreams and finally got going a bit after Silver Howe (a bit not much). What a lovely day though, Lakeland scenery at its absolute autumnal best. Warm too, surprisingly so really. And for the first (and probably only)time ever we led a race! Ok, Hammy had sent the field the wrong way so when everyone turned round we only had the walkers to overtake. And then we won a spot prize - three years and we get some sweat bands! Persistence really does pay off.

thesteadygroove 21st position......absolutely gobsmacked, I knew I was passing a lot of people but I never expected to be so high up the field, I'm in danger of suffering from vertigo. The ankle breaking ground kinda suited me and that was where I did all my passing, when we hit the flat road at the end my legs died give me rocks and roots anyday. Amazing race, great views, great organisation 10/10.

toffee Really enjoyed this run until I had a major wibble with about 2 miles to go. Not sure how I got back and felt very cold and shaky at the end. Brilliant weekend all told, not bad this trail running lark.
