Wasnt feeling at my best and loaned my Garmin to Kassie as she had forgotten hers (again ;o)) so decided to do it as a steady training run - pleased with my time all told. edso90 Had ben hoping to go for sub 1.40 but deep down I knew I might struggle. Life stuff since marathon been a bit mental so whilst I've been running not really been training. Never helped that I fecked up my clock so had an hour and 10 mins to get from Edinburgh to the start line. Only got parked about half a mile from start, had to run and get number and was still pinning it on when gun went. The race itself was tough heading back with the wind in our face and that shows in the splits. Still glad I did it and lessons learned. Was indeed me Keyring. Enjoyed the support and the brass band!!

Miss Sweden My first ever non-GNR half. Didn't have a great race at the GNR this year, was aiming for 1.50, got 1.58. Let's see if I can do any better at this one.... Hoping the lack of crowds will work in my favour.

Well...... Awful weather before the start. Didn't want to get out of the car! Wasn't too bad during the race, but was very windy- terrible headwind on the way back. Hilly route, though. Had hoped to get a little closer to 1.50, but not to be today. However, I did get a new PB :) yay :)

hillgirl Really nice, scenic race, a bit hilly. Weather was kind to us, and even the wind was in our faces for a very short stretch of the route. The start was very congested. 10k and half runners set off at the same time. Was also a bit confusing round about the 10k runners spilt off, but apart from that very well organised. Nice goody bag too.

Dvorak Heinous. Half splits of 61:30/ 72:50 tell the story. Twenty minutes slower than Glasgow is completely unacceptable. It was very windy on the way back and whilst it was never meant to be full stick, I was just lacking today. Still, calf seems ok, ran a few miles with Dizzy which was nice and although I am pretty down just now, it has to be better next time. Though I also have most painful heels from some newish shoes. Self-medication is the imminent order of the day.
