Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hamster1207 Easy Easy.... Well not quite. The snow came down, the wind blew - it was freezing. Got blocked at the start and dropped about 30secs. Managed to peg it back but due to my lack of a warmup ( it was too bl**dy cold ) my calfs tightened up and miles 2-4 were a struggle. The calfs eased off after that and then it wasn't too bad until the final mile when we crossed the bridge and turned back into the wind and sleet. Headed straight for the car after and straight home. Took a hour for my arms to defrost and the feeling to return to my fingers. Hats off to all the marshals and water people - they must have been FROZEN. Well done. We should have been cheering you !
