AlB PB. 4th FV40. The start was slow and crowded, liked the changes in scenery, THE HILL was long - but kept a steady pace and then let rip all the way down, grateful that no-one got in the way cos I wouldnt of been able to stop.

ceri This is my first half and quite excited about it - I have no idea what time i'll do - I did run 13 miles in about 2.20 the other week as a test to see if I could actually run that far!!!! I hear it's hilly though.
This was excellent!! Loved every minute

Forest Runner Ran with Socket to help him get under 2 hours. Really enjoyed the run and it was just what I needed at the moment with two weeks to go until Abingdon.

Jonny Started off far too fast going through the first 7 miles in 48 mins. Calves were already filling up with lactic by 5 miles. Couldn't get going after struggling up the hill at 9 miles. The speed is still there but my endurance is some what lacking. Looking for a vast improvement at Marlow next month.

MadJonny Bit disappointed not to get sub-2hrs, but fairly pleased with run overall. Started okay, slowed a bit on the narrow parts of the towpath, sped up again through the town and Fawley Court - managed to get up the hill at 10 min mile pace which I was pleased with. Sped up a bit in the final 4 miles, but didn't have enough left to go really fast. Scenic run though and will consider doing this again.

MadRobby Took it fairly easy to start with and gradually sped up. Left enough for the dreaded hill @ 8 miles. Enjoyable race and pleased with stamina (167).

RuthB2 Wary about predicting a time - all depends on that hill at 8 miles!
Update - Most important thing is that I really enjoyed this. Lovely day, had support with me. First 6 miles were grand, but I lost out on a PB due to THAT hill, but after that ran fast downhill and then a lovely run through country lanes to the end.

Yorkie78 What a bugger of a hill. Could have been a PB otherwise.
