Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

biru Felt very good all the way through the race today. A fantasic course, although with that wind and a number of steep hills not really one to PB on. A little disappointed to get an XXL T-Shirt in the goody bag (I'm sure I got it from the Standard Large Section)...will no doubt come in handy if I ever take up Darts or Sumo Wrestling in the future!

_andy 530ft of uphill with strong gales, but at least the rain held off. The start was great and I even saw myself on TV afterwards. The waves at the start worked nicely, although I was standing next to someone checking his 55min race split times on his wristband next to me eventhough it was the sub-40min part of the green wave. Although the green wave was meant to be for 46-60min runners, the organisers had a sub-40 and a 40-45 min zone in it (well done to them), and this worked well for me: I had a nice clear road throughout and just spent the run overtaking (for which there was plenty of space where I was). The downhill-only first couple of miles made for a worryingly fast start, as did the descent past Waverly and down the Royal Mile. Holyrood Park was a complete nightmare, with that endless gradient always visible in front and gales that made forward progress tricky. Not a course for a PB, althoug I wasn't too far off: a top 300 finish.

RedBen Well, that was a bit windy! Thanks to all for the bets and enjoy the credits. Well pleased with the PB, now to find a flatter course where I could go sub-50!

Big N Hardly ran in the 2 weeks before the race due to work and having to go to London. Not too bad though considering the lack of training and the conditions on the day.

CPMINAS The 3 hills starting from Arthur's seat onwards, the fiery heat (at times) followed by strong gusting side winds robbed me of a new PB; but I ought to be able to set the record straight with the next two 10Ks, especially the Swansea Bay flat 10K course.
