brotherjohn Well below par today, second half was a massive struggle to keep going, the only good thing was that I didn't give up. A very hot day and a course that was much harder than I remembered didn't help.

Flat Out Fi Awaiting official chip time results! My Garmin said 1 hour 9 minutes and 14 secs! Weather was v hot! Just manage to make my water bottle last the whole 10 miles as didnt want to waste any time stopping at drinks stations! A Springfield Striders girl who I always see at races came 1st, I was 3rd for a couple of miles but managed to make my way back to 2nd! Didnt know the girl who I overtook to come 2nd. Great atmosphere - just a bit too hot. A well organised event and a nice route too - quite a few long hills on the way but lots of support all the round.
