Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

aj74 Just too damned tired. Baby Sam kept me up half the night. I realise now that I need sleep before a race! Still 45 seconds better than last year.

DuaneDibbley What a brilliant day. I warmed up for the race by doing the fun run with the missus and our two DDs - I wonder if that's helped as I posted a PB that was a bit better than I'd expected.

It seemed very well organised and supported and I'd love to do this again next year.

ebox Chip time here. Gun time was 45:27 but as it was very crowded chip time is better reflection.

Hot day, and congested at start, but eased off later. A few tight turns on the course. Quite noticeable at the end when there are three or four twists in the last 500m

Jenson Watch time. Not bad with hardly any training and injury after injury this year. just went out to enjoy it.
It was HOT today. Well done everyone though.

muimhneach Very warm morning and very little breeze. Different start and finish to what I've done before. Quite cramped at the start. It took a couple of k to get through slower field. Good water station at 3k and 7k. Made sure I took on plenty. Hot in the sun. Good support all the way round and the build up/finish was good with full use of the Dolphin centres facilities. Showers were brill. Pleased with the time. My fastest for this event.

northernrunner liked the new start, better than the tight bends from last year. very hot aswel even at 10:30. really thought i might get a new pb here but got a stitch at 1k and it never shifted till after the race so i knew very early that a new pb wasnt happening so just tried to hang on as best i could. very disapointed with 26th place. 10 places and nearly 90 seconds off my time from last year. i just seem to be getting slower

Rigel Set an unrealistic time to achieve - based on PB from NHM Coast Road 5KM - but gave it a go. Too damn hot. On pace for 53mins until halfway point but couldn't keep it up. Pleased to get PB but Rachel only 30 secs behind. Yikes! Need to do more training!!
