I'm sure I had a better view on my bike.
My youtube channel has a number of other places like Ventoux on it

Reading back, I got the impression that Garmin / Zwift / strava etc didn't automatically push to Fetch. But I just uploaded (manually) a couple of FIT files to Garmin (from my only two Zwift activities) and they pushed across properly.
Am I right in thinking that if I let Zwift push the files to Garmin & strava then Fetch doesn't get a copy. But if I manually upload to Garmin then that will get pushed automatically to Fetch (and potentially elsewhere?)?

that's right lark. my Zwift activities go straight to strava and then have to be entered more manually here (if I can be bothered).

Thanks WW - just reading my own post back, I didn't point out that if I manually uploaded to Garmin, they automatically arrived with Fetch, and also RunAnalyze. So if I need to do one manual upload I might choose Garmin rather than Fetch.

Not just yet, but it is more interesting that just riding to a youtube video schedule etc. I want to do an FTP test at some point just to get a figure from that (however arbitrary), but I suspect the sub is only really worth it if you've got a proper smart turbo hooked up. Will definitely give it a few more goes, if nothing else it is distracting me from running for a bit.
My sister is a decent cyclist and uses Zwift a lot at the moment - it did fire up the competitive brother instincts to try to hang on to her yesterday, but as she's light and good it did make me try quite a lot harder than I was capable of sustaining!!

I've got a fairly basic turbo but with Stages power (that gets swapped between bikes). Prefer that for mix of indoor and outdoor riding rather than a really expensive indoor setup.

I'll admit that I have been looking at some of the more-efficient looking kit, particularly the Wahoo range. It's perhaps a blessing that most of it seems to be out of stock at the moment as the efficiency gain from my Tacx Vortex doesn't come cheap!

I have a stupidly expensive indoor bike.
However I have 12 bikes so I guess it's a mute point.
Got a set of rollers and a dumb trainer somewhere as well.

There are some amazing trainers out there for sure. A big screen would be nice, a dedicated room.. it's another n+1 situation
Never had a problem with mine if I stay seated - max power I can produce (not that much) doesn't cause any wheel spin. As the power is measured at the crank arm and that is what feeds into Zwift, does not disadvantage me in any way as far as I can tell.
