Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

They have got one of the MTB things in OHs bike shop. It looked impressive initially having seen the video but I’ve no desire to even try it (not that I will be in any time soon in current climate!)

Ordered an Ant+ USB stick so might try a free trial of Zwift if such a thing exists at some point. Trainer isn't a smart one, but I've got garmin speed and cadence sensors on and my trainer seems to be one that Zwift approves of.

I did a non-zwift session last night, just recorded on my watch using the sensors, but the log in FE doesn't allow for any splits other than "miles", even though the graphs are granular. Is that just a "thing" for FE where there is no GPS data? As the session I did was measured in minutes rather than miles, I'd like to be able to see what sort of consistency I managed in the effort sections etc, but can't, it seems?

Does anyone know if Zwift algorithms mitigat or mess with cadence? My lad was doing a ramp test this morning and it kept telling him to pedal faster (ie increase cadence). It reckoned he was doing 70-80rpm but it looked like more to me so I did a physical count with a stopwatch and he was doing ~100rpm.

Or is my cadence sensor knackered?

Dodgy cadence sensor. My avatar was only doing about 45rpm the other day, even though the. Garmin was showing 90.

Oh, that’s a good idea. I didn’t think to hook up the Garmin too.

My mate had this - it's when the cadence sensor doesn't sync properly. Zwift recommended make sure you sync it manually on screen. Apparently zwift tries to calculate cadence from speed but tops out at 70.

Anyone using Zwift for running? Tried it for the first time today, nice to have some interaction and run in a group (even if on the treadmill at home in reality).
