Also Discord is Zwift's app of choice and allows voice comms. I use it with the Navy Tri meetups. I mute my mic and the instructions come over that and we have a chat. Works well. I like the ride leader instructions coming up on the screen - not sure how that happens but the Cycling club do their sessions with that. Private chat may come soon but I think even in new private meetup (where everyone else is invisible) there's still spillover chat.

I've been part of the Discord banter when we do a no-drop Sunday ride (leader gets it set up so that the group is kept together no matter what speed you are riding, if you fall off the back you get auto-whooshed back to the group). Since last week they've been using Zoom, but I can't comment as I haven't yet been on a Zoom ride with them. Apparently you get to see folks sweating and dying as well as listening to it.... WhatsApp worked well for me the other night too.
