The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
If you do want to delete the duplicate on strava automatically there is a site called activityfix where you can do things like that, alongside lots of other stuff. I haven’t tried deleting duplicates but activtyfix knows where data is coming from, and you should be able to set up a rule for that.
I use activityfix for things like automatically naming my local parkrun activity, keeping a count of my marathons, muting Zwift rides that I’ve named warmup or cool down, muting runs under 2 miles (ie warmups or cool downs), automatically naming races that I do regularly, updating certain runs to workout, etc etc.
Ha, sorry, I’ve just read activityfix can’t delete strava duplicates as strava doesn’t allow that. So the point of me mentioning activityfix isn’t possible, but it’s still a good site if you want to edit activities automatically…
