Hi all. Did my first zwift ride today on 14 day trial. I “I think “ I set it up correctly. But only realised afterwards that I’d not input an FTP figure on my profile So not sure what difference that would have made to the 50 minute ride I did ?? Will do an FTP test tomorrow. I use a Wahoo kickr. I’ll probably picking your brains for help over next couple of weeks. I’m Dawnybobs D on there

Ok question 1. This morning I took part on my first group session. Before the start of session I saw others sitting there waiting for session. As soon as warm up started and for the rest of the session I was on my own on the screen. I think i perhaps missed the very start as. I was faffing and got off as dropped water bottle. Would this explain why I never saw a soul on the 40 minute session. And I had no idea of what position I or the others were in at ant time.

Either you were just way off the back or else you might possibly have had an internet connection failure. But this would seem quite a coincidence with the dropped water bottle. If you start properly it shouldn't happen, if it was an organised workout (not just a group ride) you will usually be tied together in a bunch where you all go the same speed regardless of effort.

If you were off the bike at the prescribed start time of the session then yes I believe that would explain it.

Even if group sessions have the "Keep Everyone Together" option turned on, you can/will still get dropped if you stop pedaling for any length of time (e.g. climb off the bike to retrieve a dropped bottle). "Everyone stays together in this virtual no-drop ride regardless of power output. You’ll be able to draft and move around in the group without fear of being dropped unless you stop pedaling."

Ok that does explain it thanks. And although I was on the bike pedalling at the start I think I missed the very start of the warm up. Took my eyes of the screen and then boom
I’m on my own faffing about un clipping to get bottle.

Me again. I recorded it on zwift no watch or anything. I have linked it to garmin and also the S word but it hasn’t come over into my fetch training log despite it going to my garmin app. Any idea how I get my zwift to go to fetch in future thanks 😊

You can't. Manual upload.

Garmin doesn't push 3rd party stuff on.

No API from fetch to zwift

I usually just download the original file from strava and upload it to fetch.
