My daughter hogs the TV, so I have found myself on YouTube a fair bit. Usually a bit of reminiscing although I do try and spot myself at any races which are uploaded. I don't subscribe to anything. Running-wise, I tend to look at The Running Channel. I am not a fan of individuals' uploading every aspect of their training because we are all different. However. I do make an excepting for Andrew Maguire (Running with Andy) as his ability is quite similar to mine and his camera work is pretty good. |

Just picked up Big_G's comment regarding Ben Parkes. A good mix of race reviews, training and GoPro footage - all with a smile. I'm wondering whether there are any Fetchies with YouTube channels, possibly running or exercise related. If so, it might be worth giving them an occasional like on anything good that has been uploaded. I'm contemplating doing something although not for several months at least. Always good to hear ideas or advice from other likeminded Fetchies in a similar position. |

I'd recommend Phily Bowden and her partner Daniel Moves - their channel is really interesting insight into elite running and she also gives good training tips. Daniel is a beginner runner being coached by Phily so its very interesting to watch both. Agree with Ben is Running fans here as well his stuff is very watchable as are the Fordy Runs stuff. There is a guy who's name I forget who is running ultras after being very overweight. |

Joining this thread as I honestly believe the vast majority of my improvement in running over the last year has been down to my YouTube rabbit hole burrowing. I've leant so much and have had so much of what I do either, completely quashed or indeed, completely vindicated by the various channels I'm now addicted to. Ben Parkes - As already pointed. Varied content with a smile. Also, used his plans to smash my half marathon PB at age 56. Big tick. Coach Parry - Good, all round advice, especially for the (slightly) older ones among us. Mark Lewis - Nicely presented, humorous advice. This Messy Happy - Two expats living in Thailand, running advice across the board. The Running Channel - Lots of good advice for all levels of runner. Nice challenges to keep it interesting. Stephen Scullion - Irish Olympic marathoner. Fairly serious and often well above my level for it to be relevant but usually always interesting. Fredrik Zillen - Running technique coach. Myth busting technique tips etc. Light hearted but really useful on his specialist subject. James Smith - General fitness guru, more geared to weight training but love his style of humorous presentation. James Dunne - Lots of good advice for all levels of runner. Tom Morrison - Great flexibility and mobility raining "shorts". It's Matt B - Quite a lot of shoe reviews but also the odd more in depth discussion on a certain topic related to running, of course. Dr Will O'Connor - Digs in to the real science behind running, heart rate zones etc. |

Oh, that didn't quite work. runfreeultra and GaryThwaites Think you might have to enter the links manually. That RUNFREE chap is one of our local runners, I actually appear in the intro to the recent Lockton Limping footage! I don't know him personally, but a lot of his footage is local to me and the races we do. |
