Just had a rather scary experience with Ernie. He’s was attacked by a staffie type dog. It got a good hold of his muzzle and was not for letting go. We are both a bit shaken and he is clearly injured as there are drops of blood on the kitchen floor. He seems otherwise alright but not willing to let us check things out.

A couple of neighbours came out as they could hear Ernie screaming. The dog has gone for other dogs before. It was on an extendable line and the man ‘didn’t see us coming’.

I’ll let you know when he lets me near him.
I’d like to add that I bloomin’ love Stafford generally. I’ve met so many that are big soft lumps.

Managed to check and there’s a puncture wound under his jaw and I think his ear is cut too.
My neighbour who is also our dog walker just popped in the see if Ernie is OK. She’s going to take him out with the pack tomorrow to give him a good dog experience
