Wow! That’s quick. Ernie has toys he got as a puppy. He likes to run around with them and expects us to chase him for them. He has only recently ’killed’ some of them - which is good because they stink. |

The monkey lasted 2hrs and 15minutes from her first taking hold of it to me putting the tattered remains in the bin. She had a lot of fun though. They would do better, but she swallows the bits of fabric rather than just ripping them up so once she starts that, they have to go in the bin. My old dog would empty all the stuffing out and remove any eyes or buttons but the resultant 'sock' would then last a good while. She didn't deliberately swallow fabric. |

Finally got hold of the dog warden to report the staffie who attacked Ernie. She took all my details and asked me to forward her the email with all the details as well. She hinted that this dog may already be known to her and asked if I would be willing to give evidence in court and if she could pass my details to other agencies if required. Yes on both counts.

I once bought Rory an expensive ‘natural untreated leather dyed with vegetable dye’ toy and made the mistake of giving it to him while I did some gardening. It was so ‘natural’ he ate the whole bloody thing (he doesn’t usually eat ‘non food’ items, he prefers to rip them into tiny pieces). His current favourite toy though is one of my slippers that he worked on getting hold of for a YEAR until the day I let my guard down and he finally ‘won’. |
