Had a scare with Arlo tonight so had our first experience of the out of hours vets service.
Arlo found some raisin filled bread (scattered in a few areas) on the field on his walk. Gulped down a significant amount.
So injection to vomit it up and some charcoal paste we have to give him at 4 hour intervals. Vet said they found around 14 raisins. Hoping that’s all of it.

I missed sending birthday wishes to Wanda! Sorry, but belated greetings
I've just heard something really lovely. A friend has a little cockapoo, Mabel. As well as being a whizz (ish) at agility competitions she's also been very successful in scent trailing classes. Today that training was put to real-life use when C was alerted on the local FB page that a dog had gone missing on a walk in Barber Wood, a very popular dog-walking area so plenty of doggy scents! They went along and met the owner who had a cushion from the car to give Mabel a good sniff, then off she went. C says it was very clear when she found the scent, followed it for ages, checking occasionally by sniffing the air, and finally, just at the far edge of the wood, finding the missing dog!
