He is wonderful and you are right to be proud of him; but most of the work has been yours!

Jet has decided that the muzzle is fun. That's because we've only done the first stage of training - feeding treats through the end. It helps that he's used to sticking his nose into cream/quark/yogurt tubs to 'lick the bowl'. I'm taking my time over this and employing positive re-inforcement only.

This morning's agility was fun and 'today you were in front of your dog for the first time' was my takeaway piece fo postive reinforcement from the trainer. At one stage Jet began to lose interest and I was able to gee him up again - for a few minutes. It didn't stop him from having some fun and jumping onto the top of the tunnel instead of going through it on his last run. I'll swear he was grinning at me when he did it. :-)

D2 your experience and effort are evident. You have done such a wonderful job.

Helegant it sounds like a successful session.

Less said about young Ernest the better ;)

D2 you must take the praise for Indi"s behaviour! His looks are his but his behaviour is down to a lot of hard work from you. (And some tears!) He is a great credit to you.

HP Ernie will get there, don't worry!

Flossie doesn't like my cast :-(. She sniffed it when I got home and since then has stuck very closely to OH's side. I guess there's something she doesn't like the smell of under or in the bandages.

Poor Flossie must be a bit confused.

It's 3 steps forward and 2 steps back with Ernie. It is in small part down to temperament (his) and in large part down to effort (mine). In retrospect getting a puppy when I am working full time and we are struggling with QP's autism/anxiety might not have been the best timing. On the other hand we have both seen the benefits for our mental health. Renewed effort recently is making a difference.

Molesy - he's a way smarter dog than my two. They're both currently patrolling the kitchen, looking to see where the squeaker noise came from when I played the video on my phone.

HP - Three forward and two back is still a net positive result, before you even factor in the mental health benefits!

That dog is amazing. Ernie also went on high alert when he heard the squeaker. Daft mutt.
