I like the opt-in/out idea. It also incorporates the ability to go on holiday without ruining your opponent's game by putting up no resistance. |

Agreed - that was kind of what I meant but didn't say properly Having a walkover against somebody who was away (I assume) the other week wasn't actually much fun |

That’s true. I’m on holiday on Mallorca until Saturday but have moved my ‘home’ while I’m here. I’ve tended to stick to running along the seafront promenade to save getting lost on some back street in Cala Millor but I’ve managed to get a few points this week. I’m in the lead at the moment but don’t expect it to stay that way when Barky logs his training.

Like the theory, but suspect it'll make little difference in the real world as those who are not taking an active part in the game probably won't be minded to mark themselves as away so will end up playing in 'dead rubbers' anyway. I guess where it will be of benefit is for those "active" players who are away for a week - it gives them another option to avoid losing points alongside the current option of moving their home square. Nothing to lose anyway |

We were off grid yesterday polar bear hunting but should bag a few squares today exploring the area round our lodge on foot. I like the opt in or out option |

That sounds like an experiment worth trying.

Hope that was hunting in the observational sense, not the extinction sense? Opt in/out sounds a useful feature btw. |

MzG - I'll be running last your opponent's place of work shortly, do you want me to nip in and nobble him?
