My opponent hasn’t logged anything either CC2, and it’s my first week! Apart from adapting my normal route so I didn’t spend to much time running outside the grid I’m just doing a bit of both!

CC2, for about 6 weeks it will not matter until you move up the league a bit. Then it will depend on your opponent and what they do. It then gets complicated if you qualify for multiplayer as that needs you to focus on a broad route with various branches.

Shame, because I am ever hopeful that in six weeks (or not too much longer) we might be back to being allowed to train with groups and drive to training sessions, in which case I will rarely actually run inside my box. Right now of course, other than treadmill runs, all but one of my runs at least starts and finishes in the box. On Saturdays I go to my support bubble's house and we run from there. Annoyingly it's just outside the box!

In 'normal' times I train all over the place in an average week. Who knows if we'll be seeing normal again any time soon though!

Winter Wallman
57.5, I’m up for plenty of miles but my absence from home has been noted and I might have to curtail my activities a bit to save my marriage 😳

I know what you mean Wallman. Hard though it is to believe, some things are more important than WSW.

I managed 15 miles and cooked a curry this evening though so it was win win!

Limegreen - you and your opponent have both been through that square and are tied on the same score. Neither person currently owns the square but you could reclaim it by running through it again next time out.

ITG 🇮🇸
Bazo, I am also thinking of calling it a day on wsw. It has been a great motivator to get out and the chat on here is a lot of fun but I am feeling like I have come as far as I can. I am running a lot of "junk" miles and I want to train a bit better in the hope of an end of May marathon. Wsw gets me running horrible 5ks in -14 or blizzards when I would do better to cross train or even (whisper it) rest.

I'm not saying "never". I might come back in Fall as it IS a good motivator in the off season and if I find myself visiting a nice grid-based city, I might come back for a badge or two.
