Very tired this morning but I dragged myself out and I am so glad I did. Really enjoyed it by time I finished.

GG and LG, that describes nearly all of my runs. That first step is by far the hardest but once I'm moving, I'm generally enjoying it. WSW so often serves to make that first step happen at all.

as a mate of mine once said on a film about him... you may regret going out for a run, but you will never regret getting back.

look at this, its a great inspiration to watch

xt350 that made my heart skip! What a truly inspirational man your mate is. I wish him well for the Bob Graham Round.

His playground is my idea of heaven, I am lucky to live near fells (not that level of fells) and woodland but it would be something I really want to develop into - just need to learn to map read.

I had an operation 12 years ago where I almost died thankfully they saved me, so I can resonate what he said about doing his donor proud, likewise with my situation I am lucky to be here and I am not going to waste it. My mum had said she'd tried to stop me running as I was poorly but doctors said had my heart not been strong I'd not have made it. If I ever need to drag myself out that is where my mind goes :)

NN, welcome to the forum! You are doing really well and I think WSW is exactly for runners like you, who benefit from a little extra push out the door. The mutliplayer and 1-2-1 are quite different games and I don't tend to bother with the multiplayer but I can see how it has worked well with your training and that's great. Your post sounds like "imposter syndrome" but you've absolutely earned the right to be up there, even if you don't feel like fighting down to the wire (and seriously, the boys - nearly all boys - who get into final four are complete nutters!).

What I like about wsw (and most fetch games) is that it doesn't matter how fast you go or even to a large extent how far (most long runs or bikes go off grid unless you are an obsessive. Like me.) There are plenty prizes for the fast people out there but fetch has always been about encouraging the "also rans" like me.
