Thanks to everyone whos replied, I was feeling quite deflated earlier about some of the comments and suddenly having a feeling of maybe I wasn't really in the right places or welcome with being slow etc and for doing short bursts etc, but I feel reassured that everyone starts somewhere and in time I am sure if I stick at it I can to get some higher mileage in and if I cant then for every mile I do that's one mile more than the person sitting at home in front of the TV doing nothing.
Feeling better for today's rest day and will have a bash at multiplayer again from tomorrow!

The kinda fun thing about WSW is you end up in the ring with some talented runners. Occasionally I take the umbrage, like in my pen at great south run when the commentator said “and good luck to all the fun runners” bloody cheek. But mostly I love how we all love running despite our various speeds and distances do come and say hello on 700 miles thread nn if you like to chat

I hope I’ve not been the cause of any feelings of deflation. My job is to try to do what I can to make a fair environment, and a challenging and interesting game. If I’ve made anyone feel bad for any reason, I apologise.

I don't think it was you, at all, fetch. You're much more of an inflator than a deflator.

I am sure it’s nothing from you fetch it’s clear your intention is to keep the playing field fair.
NN I often play against myself sometimes my opponent has being too competitive for me to contemplate challenging or they have been very quiet. So I set myself little challenges to keep me going. The aim is to help motivate us out if the door regardless of speed or sport.

Apologies if any of my moaning came across negatively towards others or their efforrs earlier, it definitely wasn't my intention. Just being a grumpy cyclist who's stuck indoors atm is all. Anybody who can get out the door and do any form of exercise (including those that want to but can't) regardless of pace or distance deserves to feel welcome and included in all the parts of this wonderful site/community

Fetch nothing you said caused the feelings I had earlier.
I'm glad I posted because actually the positive posts have outweighed the ones that made me feel a bit rubbish about my poor running attempts and actually I'm hopefully I won't just slip under the carpet never to be seen again now.
