When did you last give blood?

Well, I went last night and they took me! Yeah! I was unsure whether I would pass their iron count test as my anaemia keeps coming back but I was fine this time. They did nearly knock me back for being too thin and didn't believe me when I told them how much I weigh but were happy enough when I said I'd been lots of times before with no problems and I was fine.

I gave blood this morning and had the added bonus of bumping into another Fetchie at the blood centre!! :-) :-)

I used to give blood and stopped when I had children. I shall try and make an effort to start again:-) Will look up centre now:-)

Son of a Pronator Man
I got a letter from the blood people yesterday - like I said, they wouldn't take me a few weeks ago because my blood iron was low. The figure was 122 and t'intenet says it should be 132 so I am not to come back for 6 months.
I am now taking spatone every day, eating everything iron rich in sight and avoiding magnets. I''ll get my GP to check my blood again in a month and see if my haemoglobin has risen or not.

Well done Claire and Emma - go on Sue you can do it!! Off in two weeks but its the Tuesday so will miss Harriers and its the week before a race I'm thinking of entering - 5 days should be okay shouldn't it?
