I listen normally on the drive to and back from work, and if it went to quick, I'd have to find another one mid drive (I don't like lining them up, as sometimes one line of thinking/reasoning from a podcast leads to another)

However I did gradually increase to it and must admit I struggle with some accents at that speed. Also can only listen at that speed with headphones in. Sadly it doesn't increase my running speed.

AFAIK modern streaming services will increase the speed but compensate the pitch of the broadcast. This works for me on most platforms, e.g. YouTube, Stream, and a large number of podcast places.
