Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

There's also "Running Commentary", which is basically two comedians (Rob Deering and Paul Tonkinson) chatting whilst running about life, the universe and ... running.

Tartan Running Shorts covers mainly Scotland, based in the Fetchie stronghold of Aberdeenshire. It focuses more on the pointy end of club running but never takes itself too seriously.

We got the chocolates is sport related most of the time and 3/4 of the presenters did just run the gold coast marathon.

Don't know if others experience this, but I love the couple of weeks after a foreign holiday when the backlog of podcasts downloaded for my commute have country-specific ads in them because of where I was when the episode was downloaded.

Currently got a load with French ads on them selling me stuff I've no idea about, but I listen to them as it reminds me of my holiday!

I either subscribe to the podcasts I listen to regulary, or fast forward through any ads. I also FF through the repetitive intros, theme music, recaps, and pleas for support.

I agree with both the above. Funny to get local ads from elsewhere (especially if they continue to download that way well after you get home) but usually fast forward through the guff. Especially ads for 'Better Help'.

It is annoying to get BBC podcasts with ads though.

What is people's preferred playback speed? I like 1.5x, except that my fellow Glaswegians can get pretty hard to understand.
