[My next door neighbour used to think that her cat only ever shat in their toilet, so obviously also thought that it could flush, despite lacking the opposable thumbs. My back lawn can confirm this not to be the case. Thankfully, once you've hosepiped a cat up the arse a few times, you can scare it off just by opening the kitchen window and turning on a tap.]

[You can train cats to use human toilets (apparently - I haven’t tried it). There are various kits and training videos available online if anyone wants to give it a go...]

I experienced thundersnow once, in Germany. Fresh in my memory at the time was a debate in my undergraduate days about whether a novel that had thundersnow could legitimately be described as 'realistic'. I may have written to my tutor to inform him.
