Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

What do you know today, that you did not yesterday?

On its own it’s perfectly innocuous.

Drinking fountains for cats, and water filters for drinking fountains for cats, are A Thing.

[VR - bit like dog coats ... get that some toy dogs might need a coat, but double-coated golden retrievers? My GR looked in disgust and I'm sure she said "pfft!"].

[our galgos definitely need coats for walks at this time of year - their bellies are almost bald and (mostly) they have very little body fat for insulation. They're not really designed for a northern european climate]

[No, I already knew about dog coats and even have knitting patterns for them. But I had no idea about electronic drinking fountains for cats until around half an hour before I bought one.]

[There is a cat who turns up nearly every day after breakfast, to drink the water we put out in a bowl for the birds. It's usually pretty grim looking. He lives about 200 metres away, so he's walked for a few minutes to get here. I bet he wouldn't go near a fountain.]

[Apparently my daughter's cat will only drink moving water. I'm thinking, send it here for a fortnight and by the end of that time it'll be either drinking out of a bowl or desiccated, but I promised I wouldn't be one of those grannies who interfered with parenting decisions so it's a good opportunity to practise.]
