Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What do you know today, that you did not yesterday?

Of course, it's no less likely to throw up six consecutive numbers than any other six.

Absolutely, with all the lotteries around the world it was going to happen somewhere, sometime. I can understand why it's being checked though!

Yup. And it isn't really surprising that more people have picked a memorable sequence like that than a set of unrelated numbers. All those bouncing balls do seem rather hard to fix.

When football pools were a big thing, I would choose my regular numbers using the least frequently occurring numbers from the previous season. The stats were always published in a little handbook at the beginning on each season.
I achieved the maximum 24 points one week, and anticipated a payout out in the tens of thousands, but actually received £750!
I can only assume that many others had used the same method to select their numbers.

You'll also usually have to share a prize pool amongst many more players if all the numbers drawn are between 1 and 31.

That the latest issue of "Good Housekeeping" (which Mrs Wm was gifted a subscription to last xmas) includes an advert for vibrators in the Personal Health section. Pleased to see they've done so (stop sniggering at the back) but am wondering if they'll ever reach the stage where they consumer-test them and give them the Good Housekeeping seal of approval? ;)

They do - not done it this year but vibrators regularly (every 18 months, maybe more frequently) come up in the 'tried and tested' section.

(MrsP's had a GH subscription for yonks, in case you wonder how I know this)

[Did wonder and figured they might have done that. Mrs Wm had presumably only just noticed the advert tucked away at the back before she pointed it out to me]

They do it boldly too - see on the spine where it says 'Tried Tested Trusted' - Vibrators appear there same as vacuum cleaners, lemonade, toasters, false eyelashes...
