there's a condition known as 'splanchnic hypoperfusion' which is to do with not enough blood supply getting to your digestive system, and can be caused by doing endurance sport.

[I learned this from here 220triathlon.com ]

[I think we had splanchnic hypoperfusion around here (so to speak) about six weeks ago? PH and V'rap were involved somehow, iirc. I don't think is has to be endurance sport specifically, although that would promote a rather longer duration of it.]

[LazyDaisy introduced the subject on the Over 50s thread, I believe, back in March because I remember it being just before I met her at the Fetch Midlands Mile. It's a good reason for doing a long warm-up before a short race.]
