Lyrics, again no.
Rest day from running, trying to plan a long trail run for tomorrow as weather will allegedly be good/not a fan of road running/testing trainers.
Apple tarte tatin tasted good, a lot of peeling little apples though and looked a bit messy.
Hard not to run when the sun is out but feel a bit achey, largely due to yoga class I think. Probably the nice weather will be gone for Cogaich next weekend.
Have a nice day all.
Clearing out my rather sticky ultra running vest!

Good morning 😀

Lyrics: Not today.

What: 60min easy, no fancy stuff.
Why: Pre-race load management.
Last hard: The short efforts and recoveries in yesterday's run.

Also had interrupted sleep. I've got bothersome restless legs just now. I suspect it's something that just flares up at random because I haven't been doing anything I'd expect to set it off.

2.8m Scapa loop done. Swim scheduled for after lunch. One off club track session planned before tea.

Another nice day here with haar lifting earlier than forecast

Long run intended tomorrow (12ish) then taper.
Still unsure of whether I can get under the 3h cutoff as

1. I've not done that distance since 2019
2. I haven't got much pace back
3. What pace I have got back has not been tested over 5k since Stromness 10k in July

There's arguably one way of finding out ...
Hopefully it'll be a nice weekend away whatever with a ceilidh thrown in. Although it's in the northern Highlands, it's still. A 3.5h drive after we get off ferry.

I get another shot 15 days later at Jedburgh (but no cutoff there)

Lyrics no

Are you getting taller @alehouse ? ;)
(I would disagree with Garmin btw LOL)

About This Thread

Maintained by HazelnutCH
Each day someone sets some song lyrics, often on a particular theme, eg colours, numbers, running, etc. Others then say whether they know the song or not, but DO NOT say what the song is: the answer is revealed the next day.

Current theme: COLOURS

Contributors then say
What their training will be
Why they are doing it

Some also say
Last hard
Last rest

Plus of course general comments about the weather, other people’s training or races…illness or injuries!

Feel free to join us and why not set some lyrics once you get the hang of the thread?
