Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think it's correctly processed the course - have a look at the leaderboard here:

fetcheveryone.com/ori-course.php?id=65

it shows you hitting 9/12 flags in a time of 55:50

Maybe there's an issue with the notification not happening. No chance you accidentally cleared it?

Thanks @fetcheveryone

There was a notification that was just a ? and when I clicked it nothing happened…
But obviously it is recording the attempt properly!

Is there any way of seeing which flags were missed, as I *thought* I’d passed through them all?

When you're looking at a course on the map, the map shows all the flags and the list by the side shows all the descriptions, but there doesn't seem to be a way of matching the description to the flag on the map?

I have the same question as Alice - can we see which points we hit and which we missed pleased.

I also got the blue ? notification, with no text letting me know it was for this game. When I clicked it, it just disappeared so I couldn’t screen shot it, sorry.

Also, one of my points isn’t where I meant to put it so is inaccessible (it’s inside an events arena). Can the position be adjusted?

I had the blank notification bug too. I managed to screenshot it, so I've submitted a bug report.

My 2nd attempt at a different route didn't register at all. I placed the start right on top of my house but the GPS trace is slightly adrift from the map so I don't think it's triggering the necessary hamsters. I've done this 2nd route twice and nothing either time.
I can't picture how far 20m is, I don't think the GPS trace is *that* far off...

This game is really great! I can imagine using these courses to suggest routes when I'm away from home - much more flexible in terms of distance, terrain, etc than just finding a route.

It would be super if it was possible to see what courses you've done.

I'm looking forward to seeing some cycling focused courses, too. Some might be doable as (very) long runs, of course :-)

About This Thread

I had an idea the other day whilst walking with Katie. A lot of Fetch games rely on randomly-placed markers to encourage you to vary your routes - but what if you could design your own virtual orienteering course? Drop a dozen or so virtual flags on the map, and then you've got a challenge for yourself and anyone else who is passing through the area.

I've built some pages that allow you to construct a course:

fetcheveryone.com/ori

There are some notes on that page ...
