I clean them with Milton every few weeks, and use them until they split. Mine are all translucent so you can see the mould forming! Much worse when I use tailwind.

Ultras are quite often on Saturdays, historically I don't know the reason. But often Saturdays are quieter in public parks etc. So makes sense to hold the event on the Saturday. Dartmoor Discovery, local to me is on a Saturday as the roads over the moors are quieter than on a Sunday when folks go for a drive Sunday lunch etc. Can't help re the soft flasks, don't have any. Sterilising tablets, or soak in water, touch of washing up liquid and a small amount of bleach perhaps. |

I tend to keep flasks for water and have a harder bottle I use for active root. To be honest I put both in dishwasher occasionally (after another friend said they did with no ill-effects) freezer storage is a good one I freeze with just a tiny bit of air in and remove day before needed or on morning if I have time.

I just wash mine with soapy water, rinse well, leave 10mins or so then put in the freezer.

Most soft flasks are dishwasher safe (top shelf) trick is finding a way to stand them up so they don't flop over. I also use beer brewing steriliser to clean them, or soak in dilute bleach... Top tip, don't leave dilute coke in them for a few weeks, it's not good! |

That's what I've been doing Just washing with normal washing liquid then placing in a draw. Most of the time I use electrolyte drink only using energy drinks if over 2hrs |
