It wasn’t in the city as such, mostly through parks and suburban neighbourhoods. The parks and woods were lovely, but somehow all full of hills!

Well done in that heat! Are ultras normally a Saturday?
Also … soft flasks … how long do you tend to keep using them? Do they have a life span? Water bottles are easier to see if manky but soft flasks tend to be blue which is less easy!

Soft flasks - if just using water should be ok, if using anything sugary then rinse well. In both cases store them in your freezer which will prevent anything unwanted.
If you've got room in your freezer then best to store bottles there as well, but they take up a lot more room !
