The other dot went post-haste to Settle and stopped in the area of a hospital. I saw that Roo and then realised it is also the area of Giggleswick School which is where Rupert teaches. So I'm hoping the explanation is that having retired they've both retreated to Rupert's house and he remembered to hide his tracker. Also the hospital doesn't look like the sort of facility you would be taken that far to if you were an A&E case 🤞 |

flanker wrote: See the leading two guys in the South have both pulled out. Another case of pushing each other too hard too early? Absolutely on both points Flanker. And the first one is on repeat in the main race. On the second one the lack of progress in the first few hours by the back markers on what must now be a well trodden path shows that they wouldn't have a prayer of getting to KT if it was tarmac and flat. But hey the organisers have their cash and know there is a percentage that don't require anything beyond Hebden. So why would they turn the entries down 😉 |

Just seen a video taken by a friend showing the leading men coming through Windy Hill. Lots of blokes with them with no numbers visible and no kit, presumably hangers on? Is that allowed or does it put the competitors at risk of penalties of some sort?

Yesterday the lad who has just won the South was chatting to the camera saying he couldn't believe how close he was to the leaders, and now he's gone and won it. I love shit like that. 😆 |

FF - spot on, the hospital isn't an AE-type place, if you need that service you have to go to a place that I happen to know you're [painfully] acquainted with. Just heard through the grapevine that Lizzie [Rupert's wife] bobbed over to meet him, presumably to collect him. |
