I'll now only volunteer at not-for-profit events, be that club races or otherwise.

NDWDave Jun 2021 7:28am, 18 Jun 2021 15,012 posts	0 NDWDave Usually races offer free places to volunteers the next year - for the shorter races Lindley definitely does this (possibly not a place in the TR250 but another event) Ironman’s volunteer strategy is appalling as they charge competitors £500 and rely on volunteers (free tshirt and pasta party as payment) to help them generate profits for the private equity fund owners. Apparently they even asked people who deferred events to consider “donating” the entry fee if they could
