Everywhere else in Dorset is 4-5 days, with the next worse are 10-12 days. We are stuck with 55 and have been for 2 years or more.

There's something I haven't considered. I will have to pay for a proportion of work to the exterior of my property which could include fencing, roof repairs etc. There has been one new fence on a boundary with a neighbour, a fence repair and a leak repair to my property. The contractors also replaced felting on my porch roof and my neighbour's roof while repairing the leak. Another neighbour had some internal works done as he is a council tenant, so I pay a proportion of that. Some of it has possibly been included in the service charge but I may get a shock. Our building is a block of 4 - 2 owned and 2 council tenants.

Better to get a shock now than later down the line.

Yes. I haven't found a place to buy yet. The last one I put a bid in for went to people "in a better position".

If the bill's big, it will stop me buying. Hopefully for just a while but ... :(

Has the sale stalled? Shame you'll need to pay something before you move.

No - it had seemed to stall and has picked up again. I've just given answers to enquiries and now they're looking for a completion date.

Good luck DT!

My buyers have been round to check a few things. First time I've met them and they seem lovely and keen to get going. Delay is their buyer. Hoping for exchange this week.
