Mine's about 35 years old, so I'll have same problem. Hope they won't ask for a reduced price. It came down by £15k as it is. I'm getting out-bid on things, not helped by people downsizing from richer cities.

What cities are richer? Curious as someone who lives along the M4 corridor

My potential new neighbours eastside have commented on influx from London and Oxford mainly. There's good access to the train station from that side of the city.

Interesting. I know a few people moving from East Dulwich to nr Bath / Bristol countryside. They worked out their House earned more money than their jobs

My legal firm had to chase for the second time to get information. The buyer's solicitor told my legal exec there was a busy Sept year end and then she was off for a week. They are only just raising enquiries. It will be 3 months down the line on the 20th of this month. Frustrating.

That's really annoying RS.
Last week my buyers were pushing for a date but now they're organising gas and electric reports. Such a frustrating process, and always that risk someone will pull out. I'm feeling really wary having seen it happen to a friend recently, and also seeing several properties 'unexpectedly reoffered for sale'

Quite a few get re-offered here. The solicitors were also on holiday pre-September when pushed.

Don't they pass it on to a colleague when they're away?

Well apparently not, unless they've been told to put the brakes on by their client? I guess we've got no way of knowing this end. My legal exec has commented that it's very frustrating. She's had to speak to the estate agents twice to check with them that's it's a definite sale.

The most annoying thing is being unable to make definite plans. I want to book removals but don't yet have an idea of dates. And making weekend plans when I don't know where I'll be or whether I'll be needing to pack/unpack.
