Linds - my MIL does that too, says holding the phone by her ear is uncomfortable with the hearing aids in or some such crap. Bloody frustrating as she still talks over you and doesnt listen

Many hearing aids these days will connect bluetoothishly to mobile phones, could that be an option?
Or are they die-hard landline users?

Oh Rae. I really applaud your optimism and can-do attitude. She has those hearing aids. They do bluetooth to her mobile. She. Will. Not. Engage. With. The. Technology.

To be fair, I think it's all a bit much for her, but it still drives me fucking insane
