One of the things I always liked about The Hotel was that we were able to be honest about what we’d been up to (or not, as the case may be). The monthly schlong, the annual round-up…. all these things. It would be a shame to lose that, I think. (Rare)day off tomorrow. In the morning I will get the ball rolling. Then you’ll be able to see just how low the bar can go! Join me |

Alright then, the all-wurst of 2023: Swim: 5.3km, apparently. Not great. Bike: 2672km. Huge uptick after June, unsurprisingly. Didn't quite top 500 in a single month, though. Ah well. Run: 46km. Very poor. DVD extras: Things picked up and put down again: many. Rugby games played: 7 Rugby games won: 6 Jobs quit: 1 New jobs offered: 2 |

Ok. Coldmageddon started with GC ~11/11, with me joining in approx 5 days later. December Swim - no. Bike - no. Yoga - 5hrs. No upside downing. Run - 9.6 miles = 3 RWVS parkruns. Walk - 60 miles. Just getting the dogs out. 2023 - goal - iron distance a month, couple of events. Swim 19.4 (fell out of love with the pool completely) Bike 1,406 Run 200.3 Walk 868 Yoga 45 hours S+C / Circuits - a whole 6 sessions. Head not in game most of first half due to family illness. Momentum built in Q3 nicely, then dashed by illness from which I'm still recovering and this cold snap has really irritated The Cough. Learnings learnt from nutritionist but not to be a long term relationship due to differences between perfection and real life with a full time job and family responsibilities. 2024 - Half iron in June. Build consistency slowly. Stop coughing. More S+C, was really working in Q3. Eat better without going mental recording everything. |

2023 Swim: 68.8 moles. 3 x any previous year. Also longest OW event at 5.5k. Fc coaching means I can now swim fc but it's no faster than my bs. Am delighted to be able to swim fc, though. Bike: 382 moles. Not bad, also longest bike ride 40 miles followed by 43 miles over a weekend. With Billy. Run: 235 moles. Disappointing, but looking at the above, I can see why. Can't do everything. DVD extras. Started weights routine in November. Going well. Started new job also in November. Also going well. Sadly only for 11 months so have to start soon working out what next. Moved house Oct. Thanks, Angus Clydesdale for getting me to do this. It's not nearly as bad as I had remembered. I was focusing on running. |

I'll do mine too. There's a lot of me grumbling about tennis involved.
