Is anyone planning on doing any track races this year? I've just booked a BMC 3000m race for next Monday You don't have to be a member to do some of their fixtures, you just need to pre-book them: britishmilersclub.com Anyone else interested in any of these? |

Sounds good. I'm just going focus on 1500m this year (maybe a few 800's too). Think I need to start using my spikes though, I keep avoiding it because my calfs are always really sore for a few days after. Next target race will be Avon Champs on the 11th, and hopefully I can get near 4:30 on the 1500m. |

I've got SML 5000m on Saturday at Battersea Park. Mainly using it as a leg speed session ahead of Tuesday's 10k

Hey Blister! I'm planning to do as much of the short stuff at this year's Rosenheim League. 100m, 200m and maybe 400m. Won't do 3000m unless the team are mega desperate...

Hey Boo, how are you? Cool, I've never tried anything under 800m, wonder what I could do for 400m if I ran flat out? 3000m is long for me, but it was the only choice I had, unless I drive to Birmingham to do a 1500m! |

It's funny that - I can't seem to run anything over 400m well on track... I was spectacularly lapped in the 3000m last year - and have never tried to race 1500m.

You should try a 1500m, it's very unlikely you would get lapped! But they do hurt! |

I'm here but not done any track races yet, not since March. Need to sort out either 2nd claim club or find some open meetings, so far not having much joy in that department
