HappyG - I take my pulse when I wake up before I get out of bed. That for me gives me a reliable RHR reading.

I had a little increase in my RHR for a few days last week when I was lurgified, but nothing that screamed, "You're ill! Don't train!"

Apparently that matters. Who knew. I can sometimes forget and end up taking it day at my desk with a coffee and still get a nice low and steady HR. I'm liking this. It's nice to know in surrounded by like minded, potentially nerdy, mundane, healthy buggers. π |

Apparently if you wake up busting for the loo that will raise your RHR. If the alarm wakes me and I wake with a start, that gives me a higher reading. I have to wait a couple of minutes then before taking pulse. |
