Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think the watch must have been listening when I first got it and grumbled about it being too trigger happy about flicking between statuses.

I don’t believe the VO2max nor the predictions it gives from it, though I probably ought to do an all out 5K to see how far off it is.
runalyze has a very wobbly up down VO2max trending just higher for the last 3 months.

At least ‘maintaining’ for weeks feels better than the ‘unproductive’ it said for months last year :)

Here is the training status in a Forerunner 745. It still flips a lot between recovery (blue), maintaining (light green) and productive (dark green). The recovery is usually before the races when I do mini tapers and the watch reacts to it. Overall, marathon training seems to be either productive or maintaining.

I'm talking about the ability to show VO2 max from file (so Garmin VO2 Max) on Runalyze not the Runalyze measured one.

And here the training load distribution. I lost the February virtual mile last night so Anaerobic went from 147 to 61. I'm right where the watch wants me to be in High and Low Aerobic, yet it keeps suggesting base training or threshold sessions and the latter even when I'm a bit over the recommended range. It doesn't suggest anaerobic work very often, maybe once a week, if at all.

PS: don't mind the Finnish, my phone is set to Finnish so Garmin defaults to Finnish even when I set the language to English in Garmin Connect on the computer.

Rosehip - have had mine measured in the 60s and my watch is in the 60s . I believe its a few numbers too high but consistent so useful as a guide.

Run paces are easily confused by training focus , current projections on my watch has I can run without trying.

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
