Fizz :-)
I’ve put what WW calls my “horse blanket” on this morning (a gilet over the top of my hoodie). Although I’m warming up now, so will take it off shortly.

I may look into one of those onesie sleeping bags, perhaps that would be useful for working.

I've just bought Geoff (for his birthday) and me an Oodie each so we can keep the heating on frost setting much of the day this winter. We have an old house and it's hard to keep it warm unless the heating is on constant. Leaving the living room to go into the hall or kitchen you really feel the temperature drop, so an oodie will serve us better than a blanket, as we can wear it around the house. We'll still need the blankets to keep our feet warm whilst sitting in the living room. It was cold last night so we went to bed early (about 9pm). I found a hat I'd knitted and Geoff wore it to keep his head warm in bed; him having accidentally shaved all his hair off the other day, he was feeling the chill.

The family home where I grew up had no central heating so was used to it. We had a gas fire then and electric radiators
My flat seems warm at times have to check the heating isn't on lol 😅
If and when the heating goes on it won't be on for long

The look back to times of yore is fascinating, I still recall when we got heating installed (i reckon I was maybe about 10) and prior to that we had a coal fire and so the house must have been cold but I dont recall that.
When I bought my first flat aged 21 it had no heating and only 2 small electric fires. I stayed there 2 years and do recall it being cold as I had been spoiled by 11 years of heating.
When we moved into our current home in 1998 it had no heating and we installed the system within a month of moving in. Our next door neighbour who is only the 2nd owner of the 1930s house has no heating at all
My daughter this morning requested the heating going on but I was on calls so didnt do anything. Mrs Axe was outside where it is actually warmer

oh and we have spoken about purchasing some new warmer gear and also cold hands is my issue so fingerless gloves might be required. I will look like Steptoe on my Teams calls

This is what I was wondering for wearing around the house. £75 though, quite pricey

I don’t remember being cold and miserable all the time when we had just coal fires and single glazing. We had thick curtains over the doors as well as the windows and draught excluders where helpful.
Still warm here, though I did close a few upstairs windows this morning to try to keep it that way.

I have my winter duvet on but it is still quite warm in here. Stone building. It gains and looses heat very slowly, so working on it not dropping too much. The sun is doing that job and, open plan means cooking raises the temperature too in the evening.
