My wettest was Marple parkrun, didnt have enough grip on my trail shoes for the very slippy wet fields. Resulted in me slide tackling a course marker on the second lap and the RD taking a picture of me cos I was so covered in mud.

Ha, mine too, on a very rainy day, I discovered that no, my trail shoes weren't actually in the boot after all.. That was a fun one :)

Talking of fun in the wrong shoes.

In January last year my brother needed some help picking something up from somewhere out east (West Cambridgeshire I think) I agreed on the condition that we stopped at a parkrun en-route. As we were travelling it became obvious we would not make the target parkrun on time so we diverted to Rugby.

Rugby is a nice simple two laps around a playing field, with a muddy great hill hidden behind some trees - and I turned up there in brand new road shoes. It was quite slippy.

Someone slipped over at the start of Killerton when I was there despite wearing trail shoes. The bottom half of the course was basically a lake (that isn't normally there).

I've just checked out the photos on Flickr and it has grass in the summer and everything 😂😂

Got me thinking about my wettest parkrun. It's either this at Centre Vale:

Or Witton parkrun in October but no pic exists to show that.

There were ducks in the puddles at Centre Vale from memory!
