Well done GG!!

11 hilly miles is a long way Evangel, hope your intervals go ok.

I much prefer running to walking, but I do also enjoy a good walk in the woods. The wee man also likes the woods but he is so slow as he looks at everything!

I am doing a solstice run tomorrow, well a run/walk, up a local hill for sunset. Forecast is for cloud, would like it to change but we will see.

After Saturday nights marathon I walked 6 miles yesterday late morning and around 5 yesterday evening. Last night was a trek through woods with tree routes, rocks and sandy loose earth with occasional streams to cross and then step steps down from the summit. Loved it and the views were amazing, shame it was cloudy but so very, very atmospheric.

Hi guys sorry I’ve been awol! It’s been a whirlwind since I got home yesterday morning. I smashed more then my expectations the goal was to finish ideally within 24 but a stretch target of 22-23hrs I managed 20:46:01!!

I will blog eventually but suffice to say it was brutal I knew it was 80% road but road tarmac must be harder than path tarmac as my feet were screaming! A lot of it was uninspiring thankfully what was inspiring was beautiful wish more was on the wall itself.

Few pics.

Thank you for the lovely messages ^^ and the good wishes throughout.

Well done for your long hilly walk Evangel!

I hope you enjoy tomorrow's run/walk Lesley

Well done LĹ, keeping your tick.

Your recovery walks sound really scenic FF.

Very well done GG, you really smashed your target 💪. Thanks for the pics, you look remarkably fresh at the finish 😀

Another hot sunny morning, and I ran 6.45 miles in the forest with 3 running friends. The terrain was very bumpy and rutted where the mud had dried out and hardened. We had to really watch our footing, and one of my friends did have a fall. Thankfully she was ok and able to carry on.

A fantastic clear, calm Summer Solstice morning and keeping my miles clicking by ok. Pleased with some extra effort and increased my HR a bit although still a bit cautious and will be until I know my heart is ok. Road run of four miles and this must go down as the most perfect running conditions of the year, 12c ..
This falling stuff seems to be catching down there in the forest hs! Watch those roots and bumps carefully! Well done on what must have been a challenging six odd miles.
Off to read your blog now gg!

Well done Steve for another good run. Things seem to be improving for you. Your mileage this month is way ahead of mine

It certainly is quite tricky at the moment running in the forest, but it is so much more rewarding than road running. I'm being extra cautious though, as I don't want to aggravate the slight niggle in my right knee. This is the one that I injured in 2017. I don't think it has ever been 100% since, but I have learnt to live with it. Today is a running rest day.
