Only just back on after 5 days with no electricity or internet following Syorm Darragh so lots to catch up with. Belated congratulations, hugs and birthday wishes as appropriate.

I’m still behind the line but trying to catch up. 913.8 is the total so far. I’m not yet convinced that I’m going to make the 1000 but I am sure that it’s possible with a bit of effort. Keeping on keeping on.

Going well EdG. Well done Peter, what an achievement after your long period of physical difficulty.
That's a long time without electrify Cheeky. I wonder how many years it will take before lack of electricity becomes a norm nationwide. You're doing well re your miles.
Work do's Donnie 1. Just ugh in my book and thankfully long off my agenda, I always found it easy to simply not attend or slink off while people were getting silly.
If course the number is definitely arbitrary re 1000 but....☹️... still a drag if you miss it when it's been a target!

Well done Peter on the 700.

Great running from you all, and good to see HS getting over 70% wava this morning.

Sounds awful cheeky's dad, hope you get it all sorted soon and manage the 1000.

I got my 100th parkrun this morning 🥳. It was frosty and a little slippy but I'm glad it's finally done. My friend has been very patient and waited a little while so we could run it together.

Now I have a sick child to look after, just what I need ☹️.

CD, oh no, how on earth did you cope? I hope that you had gas central heating, so at least you could keep warm.

Good that you are back but 'don't beat yourself up' if you don't reach the 1000 miles.

Thanks Lesley, now that I have achieved the breakthrough, I must try to maintain it.

Congratulations for your 100th parkrun.

I'm sorry to hear that the wee man is sick; 😫 how old is he now? the years fly by so quickly.

As Lesley mentioned above, I achieved my target of attaining a 70% , or 70.60% to be precise WAVA, or AG as it seems to be more commonly known, in this mornings Bartley Park parkrun. 1stAG 75-80 out of 2. I wonder if it was the new trainers factor 🤔

Congratulations on the 100 @Lesley C & friend a great picture I almost congratulated you on your training entry this morning but convinced myself you did it last week!

Hope little man is soon better and you all avoid it

The trainers are clearly working for you ha! Huge congrats on your 70.6% WAVA you are incredible.

I ran back from my in-laws the dampness in the air is just awful makes it so so cold. Back for a hot bath. We’re off to metro centre later hopefully to find my hubby something for Xmas he’s a nightmare to buy for as having me he must have everything he needs as there’s nothing he wants 🤣

@Donnie1 I listened to my fave podcast Young Hearts Run Free the guest is a coach focusing a lot on mindset and holistic training. Might be worth a listen podcasts.apple.com this guy is the coach of the lady who was coaching me for almost 1 year.

That's quite a while without electric CD. Hillstrider despite having gas central heating it won't work without electric to pump the water around the system.
Congratulations Lesley on getting to your 100th parkrun at last. Shame about the bairn being ill again.
Congratulations to you too hillstrider on a 70+% wava you have waited patiently to get that again.

I know gg but I’d be much happier with a 4 digit arbitrary number than a 3 digit one 😁

Thanks for the non-electric sympathy folks. We’re in the middle of nowhere so we’ve worked quite hard to be resilient and self-reliant. So the central heating didn’t work but we do have log burners so still have heat plus a gas hob but electric oven. Hot water ran out after a couple of days and no phone, internet or mobile though we can get a signal if you’re willing to walk a mile to the top of the hill. In some ways it was quite nice to have a digital detox but life certainly is simpler when everything works.

ION I’m still moving forward with the target. Down to 81 miles to go. Keeping the dream alive 😁
